Nah, I knew I would still count down to breaks. Because they get freaking wild around this time of year. Sooner we get to break the better.

That would be cool. Week of rest in only a couple hours. Would be swell.

yeah, guess as soon as turkey day is past the kiddies get too squirrrrrelly to sit long enough to do anything (other than chat with friends).

but with todays weather you cant really be thinking christmas (at least not if you live in places that get snow and cold weather now)....supposed to get to 50 today /faint

They want to do nothing. It's pretty bad and makes it hard to deal with. Just a couple more weeks...

Yesterday's weather was great. Got up to 59. Went for a run. Today. 27... Wut?

yeah...it got to 50--and then it was like 20 something by the end of the day...crazy weather.

time to get out the xmas decorations...I feel as though I just put them away not so long ago. (perhaps I should just leave them up all year long )

Not a fan of those kind of shifts anymore. Not since we went from 30's to 60's and then got hit by a tornado...

Ya need to stop putting off getting a tree here. This weekend we will probably get a tree. Wife will be excited.

dont think I was ever excited about them.

got some of my interior decorations up. too cold outside to do anything else there, so that is considered DONE. will take my tree out and hang it probably over the weekend...must finish my cards before that (need to get the overseas ones out soon--or they will be new years cards!)

had a really nice massage today, my therapist gave me some extra time today (for free!)
and then an even better nap when I got home!

I like having a tree up. But it is the putting up and taking down of it that I hate...

Far too cold out to do anything outside. Probably going to wear my heavy winter coat for the first time this year...

Massage sounds nice... Hmmm. I should look into getting one for my wife for Christmas. And a nap would be lovely. Maybe after work today I can sneak one in.

yeah, wish my tree would put itself up and put itself back in its box too (now there is something someone should look into automating ).

got a few good hours of sleep in today as well, that massage did a world of good to my neck and back, dont feel like I am lying on rocks now....and speaking of naps...think its just about time for mine too...

right after I was done with mine, my hubby took one--so we had a very late dinner

finally watched the 50th anniversary dr who special, got to see Tom Baker! WOOOT! (my favorite incarnation)....guy is still moving pretty well for being ~80! Dang I can remember when we watched those as kids and everyone thought we were strange--now its much more main stream (and bow ties are back in partially due to the series as well, now my hubby says, the gym shoe with business attire is ok too--he was doing that 10 years ago and got flack for it). And fiep still loves seeing K9 (wonder what his K9 pin is worth now-----).
got a few more decorations out, and the packages sorted, just need to wrap, label and send. (the cards have yet to sign, label or mail themselves yet ).

I rarely get naps anymore. Just don't have the time. Except during summer. Then I have plenty of time.

Got the tree up. It is all pretty and stuff now. Just can't use our dining room table anymore since only one person can sit at it. Oh well.

I have never been able to get into Dr. Who for some reason. Dunno why, just couldn't.

always been a sci fi nerd--got started at an early age (had help from an older brother who had more say as to what was on the tv at the time-----a time when people on had ONE tv and NO remote ) dr who WAS originally a kids program and it was easier to watch back then when you kept that in mind (you could see the zippers on the big rubber aliens costumes and such), it went on hiatus in 90? for about 15 years and wasnt brought back until 2005 or so, so it probably wasnt on much when you were a kid--and then only as reruns.

dining room table....hm....I know we have one here somewhere---under the computers! yes, no one can really eat at ours either (I havent in more than a decade), so I understand that one completely. (I either eat in the kitchen standing by the stove or on the couch in the living room, you learn to eat quickly and with as little mess as possible), so we dont have anyone over to eat here.

Wasn't on at all when I was a kid. Though I do have fond memories of watching Star Trek and Captain Picard with my dad when I was younger.

I'm done putting up trees lol. Wife and I helped get my parents up then came home and put ours up so I'm done.

We used to eat pretty much exclusively on the floor for quite sometime, then decided since we had a table we should use it. So now we do. But not for the next few weeks now.

floor...hm, never thought of that one (not that we have space there either).

ah yes, patrick (swoons)...starting watching it my senior year in college on a black & white tv (it was all I could afford!--and the dorms only had ONE tv for all 500+ residents--only ONE lounge had a tv). those were the days....no internet, barely a phone and no tv, geez what DID we do with out them (hint, TALKED, sports -bleh, other activities not requiring those things).


and now the ground is white...a covering of snow about 2" thick, at least its warmer than it had been! (and no, my tree is still not up ).

We could eat on the couch but meh. Floor is convenient.

When I was young all we did was play outside. Very rarely did we watch tv, let alone want to watch tv. We were much happier playing outside.

Yup we apparently got around an inch here. And they did an awful job plowing the roads. Hope they are better today for my drive in to work...

didnt have to go anyplace until today and the roads are pretty clear (heck, even our driveway got plowed ).
got the cards done (mostly--got to lick and stick still) just have to take them to the po tomorrow and DONE (well still have to wrap other gifts and get them sent, but heck 90% done is good enough for the government, its good enough for me )

and the temps tonite---single digits....put the flannels on and get the hot chocolate warmed up!

The roads here were clear, except for the two parking lots I had to drive in. Our apartment parking lot was not clear and neither was my works parking lot... Oh well.

We ordered some gifts last night, going to get some more this coming weekend I believe. I seem to recall my wife saying something about Christmas cards but I figure that is her deal.

It is currently single digits here with a windchill in the negatives...

yeah it got below zero (without the windchill) here....brrrr!

well got the lickin and stickin done (soooo glad that stamps are now stickers!) now I just need to convince my summer car to take a drive----------

Been very cold here. Might get more snow today as well. Which is fine as long as it isn't too bad out.

Good job on that. We still haven't even thought about ours yet.
